Services suspended to USA & territories Executive Order 14324

The United States announced significant changes to its import tariff rules in US Executive Order 14324. These changes, effective 29 August 2025, impact business customers shipping items from Australia to the US and its overseas territories, including Guam, Northern Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands and the U.S. Minor Outlying Islands.

While Australia Post is working quickly to develop a solution, a temporary suspension has been put in place for postal sending to the impacted destinations.
Letters and documents of no commercial value, and bona fide gifts valued under USD$100, are not impacted by the new tariff rules or temporary suspension. However, these items must comply with new mandatory declaration requirements.
The temporary suspension of some postal services is in line with actions taken by numerous postal operators internationally, including France, Italy, Germany, Belgium, New Zealand, India, Singapore, Japan and many others.
Australia Post will provide an update once the solution is in place and services are able to resume.
